Grant Writing Process

  • Getting to know you: I take time to get to know each client, learn about their programs and issue areas, and understand their unique value-addition. This process gives me the information and insights I need to build grant narratives which are clear and compelling. 

  • Planning Together: we build grant development schedules that allocates time for review and feedback.

  • Writing: Outlining our grant strategy together keeps us literally on the same page working towards the same goals.

  • Editing process: End-to-end grants typically incorporate two rounds of edits to get to a final draft. Track changes keep us organized and on track! 

  • Communication: Timeliness and clear communication are top priorities throughout the process.  As my clients and I often do not work in the same geographic area, we communicate via phone, email, video calls, document sharing, and occasional in-person meetings.
